October 2, 2009
Week 21. Only five more weeks in the
second trimester and a total of only 19 more
weeks to go. As Bill continues to say, "we're
practically there!"
I had an appointment
with my baby doctor this week and everything is still
right on track. His only concern was that I was a
little "light" on his
weight gain scale. I was surprised by this
because it feels to me like the weight gain is out of
control! He said that it may just be because Baby has
not really started her "serious growing," which will
take place during the second half of this adventure.
Because Baby's measurements were all good, he gave me
until my next appointment to catch up with his scale.
He said if I was still light at that point, he would put
me on the "nightly milkshake diet." I was a little
disappointed to hear this. The "nightly milkshake diet"
sounds like something I wouldn't mind being put on right
now . . . .
In other news, Baby
Kalahurka received another FANTASTIC outfit this
week. Bill's sister, Katie, sent the following. I
think you will agree with me that this is totally
awesome.
Little does she know
it, but just BEING a Kalahurka probably means
that our daughter will have lots of fun and interesting
costumes during her lifetime. As examples in support of
my prediction, I submit below some other common family
photos. Notably, only one of these was taken at
Halloween. My point -- the Kalahurkas don't wait
for October 31 for an excuse to dress up and have a

Speaking of the Kalahurkas, Bill and I are excited about our trip to Kansas City to visit them next weekend. We haven't visited since May. It's been way too long! |
