Enter Third Trimester

Week 27.   Officially the Third Trimester.

I find that blogging the week after we get cute ultrasound photos is a little bit of a let down.  No matter what baby stuff I decide to document, it's not going to be nearly as fun as the baby herself.

It was a busy week this past week.  There was plenty to do at work and then I spent most of my weekend writing a banking law article.  I plowed through it yesterday and finished this morning though, so still had a little "Stephanie time" for brunch with friends, a short (but much needed) nap, an afternoon walk with Bill, some laundry and a movie.  Now I'm trying to squeeze in this blog before turning myself back over to work tomorrow morning.

A couple of good things in the baby department this past week.  First was that we got the results of my second glucose test back.  Doc says I needed to add an additional Vitamin B to my regular daily pre-natal, but all glucose levels were fine.  Easy enough, and I think that concludes all of the major tests along the way.  Miss Amelia has passed everything.  Now we just have to get through delivery . . . .

The other neat thing was that Amelia's bedding arrived.  Here is a photo.  I'm pretty pleased with it.  I like the butterflies, dragonflies and the reds and greens.  Bill noted that Amelia's nursery theme seems to be bugs.  I guess he's right, but I prefer to say "colorful insects."  Maybe I'll throw in some lady bugs.

Everything else seems to be going quite well.  I'm definitely getting bigger and beginning to notice some typical third trimester issues (i.e., swelling extremities after sitting at my desk for 10 hours each day).  It's annoying, and if things keep getting progressively more uncomfortable, I may start complaining louder, but for now I can deal.

Okay, off to get the laundry.  Until week 28 . . . .
