Visitors

Amelia has had an exciting past few days.   Almost every day, there has been a new visitor or someone new to visit.

On Monday, our friend Steve brought some burgers for lunch and had a nice visit with Amelia.  It was an especially fun visit because Clea called us from the hospital and we got to hear all about baby Jasper and how they were doing.

On Tuesday, Amelia had a special visit from Nanny and Paw Paw.  They say that you can't "spoil" an infant, but if it is possible, then Nanny and Paw Paw spoiled Amelia.  They had not seen her since before her NICU time, and so there was a lot of catching up to do.  Amelia enjoyed all of the welcoming arms and her special grandparent time.

Yesterday, Amelia and I made our first social outing.  Our office was having a "Welcome Breakfast" for a new attorney in our group, and so Amelia and I decided to crash the party (I also needed to drop off some paperwork).  Amelia enjoyed meeting all of the folks who she spent the last 8 months sharing an office with.

This morning, Amelia went with me to my doctor's appointment.  It was pretty uneventful and I got the "all clear" for going on walks and other light activity until my 6-week post c-section appointment.

Even though she was sound asleep in her carrier, Dr. Crumb (my OBGYN) insisted on taking Amelia out so that he could hold her a bit.  She didn't seem to mind.  Amelia and I both enjoyed thanking Dr. Crumb for bringing her safely into the world.
