The Boys of Summer are Back.   Baseball season is now officially in play and it seems that our Amelia is a true Kansas City Royals Fan!

A little background here.  Bill is from Kansas City.  I love to watch baseball, but have never really followed a major league team.  A couple of years ago (before Amelia came along), we discovered that we could purchase the "MLB Ticket" through our cable company and get most of the Royals games on our television.  It has since been our tradition during baseball season to catch a lot of the games on TV.  We turn on the Royals almost every evening while we are cooking dinner.  We have fun nicknames for the individual players and enjoy following them throughout the season.  We always catch a live game or two when visiting the Kalahurkas in Kansas City and have committed to a Kalahurka family tradition of going to at least one out-of-town Royals game each year.  Last year was Houston.  This year will be Seattle.

With this background, you will understand why we decided to introduce Amelia to the Royals early on.  Poppi and Puter were supportive and sent her a VERY CUTE Royals outfit to wear while cheering her team.  She really seems to enjoy watching the players.  We clap and she gets kisses from her Dad when the Royals hit a home run.  She cries (and sometimes poops her pants) when the Royals lose.  We are looking forward to being a family of Royals fans for many years to come.
